How CoolSculpting® works
CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling technology to freeze fat cells in the treatment area without harming the surrounding tissue. The frozen fat cells are then naturally eliminated by the body over time.
CoolSculpting® is an effective way to target specific areas of stubborn fat – it’s not meant for general weight reduction. Unlike weight loss from diet or exercise which causes fat cells to shrink, CoolSculpting® eliminates fat cells in the targeted area.

What to expect from your treatment
During the treatment, a gel pad and applicator are placed on the targeted area of your body. The CoolSculpting applicator uses suction to gently pull the targeted area of fat into the applicator. During the first 5-10 minutes, the area will feel quite cold, which will subside as it begins to numb.
This controlled cooling of the area will freeze the fat cells underneath the skin. Fat is more sensitive to direct cold than your skin, so the temperature is controlled to freeze fat without harming your skin.
A CoolSculpting® session takes 35-60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. When your session is finished, we massage the area for a few minutes, which usually creates a tingling sensation. There’s no downtime necessary after the procedure – you can simply carry on with your day.
After the procedure, the treatment area may be a bit red and swollen. You may also be bruised and a bit tender for a few days.
You can expect to see results between one to three months following your treatment.

How to prepare for your treatment
The CoolSculpting procedure doesn’t require much preparation. Since the treatments take up to an hour, you may want to bring a book, mobile device or laptop to keep you entertained during the session. It’s also a good idea to wear soft, loose clothing in case you feel tender after the procedure.
