Glycolic Peel

A Glycolic Peel uses glycolic acid, a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane, to treat the surface layer of the skin. The exfoliating acid penetrates the skin, accelerating cell turnover by dissolving the bonding proteins that hold onto the dead skin cells.  Once the dead skin cells are sloughed away, fresh new cells are generated leaving you with glowing, radiant, smoother skin. Despite the intimidating name of the procedure (glycolic acid?!), glycolic peels are comfortable, easy and involve no downtime.

The Jessner Peel

The Jessner peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that uses a mixture of acids (lactic and salicylic) to break down the surface layer of the skin and exfoliate the epidermis and the upper portion of the dermis. This prompts your body’s healing response, which brings new, fresher-looking skin to the surface.

After receiving the peel, your skin may feel and look a bit sunburned, and it may begin peeling after a few days. This is a normal part of the healing process that results in rejuvenated skin.
